Guitar hero history The Year was 2005, and the world was about to be taken by storm by a video game unlike any other. We are talking of course about the one the only Guitar Hero for PS3 and Xbox 360. The year before that had seen the release of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for the PS2. Both of them though had been on the market for around a decade. What brought about this new game was the signing of Electronic Arts, which was at the time the world leader in video games, to bring upon the world the company that would become Tron:Lego in 2006.
Guitar Hero
Aerosmith, though never achieving the mass market, was a big release for the PS2. The game had been rumored to be released in 2007, but that was before the release of Guitar Hero: World Tour. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has since been released, and is one of the best games on the PS3.
But perhaps the best game to come out of this was Guitar Hero: On Tour. Guitar Hero: On Tour, like Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, was released by Activision and even though it wasn’t the powerhouse that Guitar Hero was at its peak, it has still managed to sell a lot of copies. The game, however, did not use the publisher’s famous label, but instead chose to keep the name of the guitar hero series. The reason for this was that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith had already become a popular rhythm game, and so using the same name wouldn’t seem out of place. The game, however, has been highly successful and is well known for its use of new music, such as Slayer’s consecutive number one song for 13 years, “Cherub Rock.”
Guitar Hero: On Tour was followed by Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades. And Guitar Hero: Aerosmith compiled 21 years of music into a single game. The game, however, wasn’t released in the United States, and was only available in Japan.
Doubt Be A Huge Success
There has been talk of the third installment coming out of the franchise. But so far there has been no such plans. If there is, however, it will no doubt be a huge success because of Activision’s marketing prowess. Guitar Hero has been one of the most successful, if not the most successful, game in the series, which is great for the company. If they can continue its success. I truly think they will continue to put out games, such as Guitar Hero: Metallica. That have everyone in the family joining in, playing, and singing.
ByUsage, Guitar Hero has become one of the most successful games in the series. And with each new addition to the series, the game continues to draw more fans. The music, the songs, and the graphics are always improving, and making the gamer want more. It may be hopping around as you progress through the songs. But guitar hero is really a joy to play, and provides hours of fun for all.

Hopefully, we will see a new Guitar Hero film soon. Although there has been rumors of a new movie in the works. I think that Guitar Hero has become the standard, and will be remembered by many for generations to come. If you haven’t played Guitar Hero, you are really missing out on a great fun video game. Especially with such a low price point.
